Linell K. Walker Elementary School

Our school’s namesake, Linell K. Walker, was a much-loved and respected secretary at our school for many years. She knew and connected with every student and staff member at the school, and it is this legacy of togetherness and caring that we strive to continue. 

At Walker Elementary, we honor individuality, respect diversity, and seek to be culturally sensitive. Our vision is that students will grow into empathetic, collaborative, and global-minded individuals who positively influence others while maintaining a passion for learning. Our staff is dedicated to all students’ academic success and social-emotional welfare, and is focused on creating a safe, equitable, and caring learning environment.   

Walker Elementary consists of 14 TK-4 classrooms serving approximately 280 students. We also offer a wonderful enrichment and academically-based after-school program called EXCEL. In addition to the classroom teachers and assistants, we have a strong team of support staff all committed to fostering academic excellence and a positive school culture. 

We welcome and encourage families to become involved in the Parent Teacher Organization, School Site Council, English Learner Parent Group, school events, and to volunteer in classrooms. We firmly believe in a team approach to helping children succeed.
